Take action to stop nuisance noise

It’s been decades since mufflers were invented. There is no good reason we should suffer through loud vehicle noise. The state already outlaws noise as loud as what you notice but it is hard to enforce. Using recent advances in technology and passing new legislation, we can stop nuissance vehicle noise. Here’s what you can do:

• Plant a yard sign
• What to ask for: Stop nuisance noise by fining vehicle operators via the use of noise abatement monitoring systems. A good start is Maryland Senate Bill 229
• Ask your town council member to ask the state to act
• Ask your county council member from District 2 or District 3 to ask the state to act
• Ask your state delegates and state senator to act
• Ask friends, family, and neighbors to take these actions
